Apple Addiction

First Confession:
Hi, my name is Melissa and I am an Apple addict. In fact, I could safely say that our family addicted to Apple products. My husband and I each have our own iPhone, the kids share an iPod Touch, I own an iPad, we have two personal MacBooks, my husband’s business laptop is a MacBook and we have a 27”iMac.

Second Confession:
Help me. This is not a normal behaviour. I saw the Apple Watch and didn’t think, “That is a preposterous piece of absurdly overpriced crap”. I saw the Apple Watch and thought, “Come to me, you thing of beauty, for I must have Siri on my wrist”.



Hi Guys,
Based on these two confessions, what’s come to your mind? What are the good things about the Apple products? Do you think that maybe you are one of them? Actually, Apple was founded by Steven Paul Jobs, Steve Wozniak and Ronald Gerald Wayne on April 1, 1976 in Cupertino, California. The company designed manufactured and marketed mobile communication and devices, personal computers, portable digital music players and variety of professional software and services. The highly quality products which produced by them are include iPhone, iPad, iPod, Mac, Apple TV, iOS and OS X operating systems.
In my opinion, Apple products allow the users to feel amazing in one touch. In addition, majority of the people think that the Apple products are simplicity but sophisticated in everyone eyes. In October 20, 2014, the Apple company had announced their financial results for its fiscal 2014 fourth quarter ended September 27, 2014. They posted quarterly revenue of $42.1 billion and quarterly net profit of $8.5 billion or $1.42 per diluted share. The Apple’s CEO, Tim Cook said that they will come up with the other great products and services in the pipeline for 2015.

    In my perspectives, apple product might have chance to be the top valuable brand for consumers. 4 days ago, The Star has published tech news about Apple Inc. plans to introduce a trade-in iPhones programme in China. Initially, Apple Inc. emerge this plan in order to bolster sales in US. This plan actually has generated they revenue growth. As stated in the news, buying new iPhones in the US has come to be similar to buying a car. In recently year, a China’s domestic brand named as XiaoMi has been top choice brand in China. It is because XiaoMi’s phone was reasonable compare to apple brand. Therefore, Apple stores plan to introduce this trade-in programme to sustain the market in China. Nevertheless, they plan to expansion the similar programme by accepting non-Apple devices. Hence, people are able to have apple phone if this plan has implement. People can trade the older phone just pay some part of the money to upgrade to become an apple user. For this reason, personally think that apple product has a chance to be a top valuable brand for the consumer since they are planning to implement trade-in programme.

    Definitely! Apple have their own standard in consumer's point of view. Having an iphone is like having a luxury item in your pocket. In the future, I think people will value their phone more than communicating face to face. So, There will be a bright future ahead for iphone company.

    ~Life was much simpler when Apple and Blackberry were just fruits.~

    Being a young adult in the 21st century, I admire how Apple successfully symbolises innovation and status. Steve Jobs was a revolutionary and inspiring leader that influenced the way we live today. First came the colour-screen computer, then came the iPod, iPhone, iPad and now we have Apple Watch. It is incredible how Apple and technology bring us one step closer to the gadgets we see in sci-fi movies!!

    For few years in the future, I do believe that Apple will still stand as a top valuable brands in the world. This is because they will invent more and more technology and new features in any of their products. However, even though there are other phones and tablets that are functionally comparable or arguably better than the iPhone and iPad like Oppo, Vivo and Huawei but the Apple brand carries tremendous weight and credibility that customers are willing to pay up for that. Moreover, Apple has a big planning which they are going to launch soon. The next industries on Apple’s hit list are smarthwatches with the Watch and financial payments with Apple Pay. Therefore, Apple company will firm its level as the top in this industry. Plus, the symbol of Apple itself bring the significant meaning of proud between the Apple's users.

      Yess.. true! I also dont understand why people crazy about symbol of apple? Is it a sign of wealth and prosperity? Haha.. i wish apple will stay as a fruit. But, i didnt deny apple phone as a quality phone.

    There are many reasons why Apple product is so successful. According to Danilo Campos who shippin to the app store since 2008, apple approach to consumer products is fundamentally different from most other companies who work in their space. People can fool with their money and will buy anything with an Apple logo on it because Apple has their own standard or status. For me, if I had the chance to have it, I will say yes. If not, it doesn’t matter.

    I think Apple products are already considered as one of the top valuable brands in the world today, what more in the future! As Apple fan myself, I really love Apple products not just because of its brand or status but because of its uniqueness. As we all know Apple is wayyyy different from any other products. Perhaps one takes in pride as long as there is an Apple logo on it as it represents a symbol of status. Or they feel the pressure to fit in their circle of friends with Apple products. But really, what’s really ironic is when one could not pay the bills yet, could afford an iPhone! This is not surprising as the world today we are living in is very materialistic. Hence, it is not surprising that Apple products are luxury items now. But here’s a question, if one day everyone could afford an Apple product, does that mean it is no longer a luxury or a valuable brand?

    I think Apple will continue to be the leading brand as it always has been very effective in carrying out marketing strategies. I myself use Apple products though I'm not crazy about it. However we humans are fickle and whatever that we have been chasing after today might still possibly be completely disregarded later on.
